Schedule Update: Both the August 1st race at Calhoun County and September 3rd race at Angola have been cancelled due to circumstances beyond our series control
Well, as you can see from the summary above, this is gonna be a pretty quick update. This week-end we
went to Owosso Speedway near Owosso, MI. It was our first time at the track, and it was a pretty nice
facility. We had been at the track since noon, and finally got to hot lap around 3:30. The car
started ok, and warmed-up fine as well. When we got the green the car was handling great, but I kinda
heard a flutter on the right side of the motor. Well about 2 or 3 green flag laps in, I was heading
down the front-stretch when I heard a bang, and the car just spun. Luckily, I didn't hit the wall or
anything. When we got back to the pits, we thought some bolt in the drive-line had just come loose so
we replaced them. But, when we went to go out for our second hot laps, we found out that the motor
had seized up, ending our day. I have to thank John Widmer for going along with us to help out, even
though he didn't get to see the car run much. His help was still more than enough. Well, we have two
weeks now to figure out what's up with the motor and get it fixed. We should be all ready to go for
Columbus though. I hope to see some of you at the track!
