Mandantory Rookie Orientation and Practice Day
Well, we had a pretty successful practice day yesterday. The car came home in one piece with the only
MAJOR problems being a couple leaky fittings. There were a few things we did find out though:
1) WE NEED SOME MORE PEOPLE TO COME ALONG AND HELP!! That's right, we need at least one or two more
people to come with us. There's NO POSSIBLE way to get everything done with just dad and I. Our
first race is Saturday near Grand Rapids, MI. ANYONE that is free, I need to know, we will get you to
the track and back, and I'll pay your pit pass too!! 2) We are in need of a pit push vehicle! I know
we have one lined-up for this week-end, but I'd like to have our own and not always borrow somebody's.
So, if you know of anyone that has a 4-wheeler for sale...cheap...let me know! It has to be able to
push 1100 lbs. Well like I said, the day went pretty well. We got on the track about 3 times which
was very helpful to simple go through the starting procedure with the car. The track was very
unique. It was a 3/8 mile with the front stretch being banked about....12 degrees and then the turns
and back stretch being banked about 25. The exit off of turn 2 was kind of tough, but now we know a
little about the place for when we return in June.
