Next and final race week-end of the season! September 18th and 19th at Sandusky Speedway tell everyone you know, or don't know for that matter, to come watch!!!

Also, we would like to practice this Weds. Sept. 8th at Sandusky. If anyone is available to help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Last night we made our final racing trip to MI for the season, and the place where we first got a chance to run our midget back in May. We went into this race with a whole new set-up on the car, and a whole new mind-set as well. Off the trailer, we pretty much ran the same times as the last time we were there. The car would turn ok, but there was still some work to do. So we made a changes for qualifying which helped the car turn, and I went out and drove the thing the hardest I could. We ended up picking up 3 tenths of a second from our practice times. After that, we made a couple more changes for the heat where we started on the outside row. The initial start was waved off because the pole-sitter decided he wanted to start a little early, like in turn 3. The second start was much better, and we were in the thick of the battle for the lead. For the first 3 laps, we were sitting in 4th nose to tail with the pack. Then, the 2nd place runner had problems and was forced to drop out. About this time, I was having a slight handling problem. The car would turn in ok, but in the center would be tight. Once I got it to turn in the center, the car would break loose and be loose the whole way out of the turn. We were able to come home in 5th though, and we did turn our fastest times. We went back to the pits and talked about the changes we wanted to make. We started to make them, and all of the sudden they were pushing us to get on the track. We were near the end of the running order all night with practice and everything, but for the feature, we were now first which was all the owner of the track's doing. So we hurriedly made our changes of swapping two springs, changing gear, re-fueling, and air pressure, and got the car on the track. As soon as we pushed off, I knew we had problems. Going down the back-stretch as I came up to speed, the car started to miss. I hoped it was going to clean out by the start, but on the start it didn't. The hardest part was that the car was handling great, and we were ready to run with them. I was able to make two laps before I pulled it off. It ended up that two of the injection nozzles were clogged which would have been cleaned out if we had time. Last night was a prime example of needing help on racedays.
