Last night we raced for the first time at Angola Speedway in Angola, IN. It was a very tricky high-banked 3/8 mile which had us scratching our heads most of the night. We had pretty limited practice to figure things out too. It seemed like we were battling a big push off the turn all night. During qualifying, I thought the car was going to slide into the wall a couple times. We made a couple more changes for the heat which helped a little. In the feature, we decided on some whole-sale changes which again, helped but wasn't the cure-all. I ended up having to drive the track like two drag-strips and just jamming on the brakes to get the car turned. Throughout the feature we had to dodge caution flags, but we were able to bring the car home in one piece. Even though the motor was running a little hot with all the stopping in the action. Well, that's basically what happened. Next week-end is our last WOWMS race for the season up in Whittemore, MI. It's a nice little 1/4 mile track and the fans just love us up there.
