June 7th, FRP Points Race #5

Results

Well, our first Thursday night show of the season was a blast. The weather was great during the day so the track got a lot of sun and had a lot of grip that night. We won the first heat starting from the outside pole and finished 2nd to Rex in the second heat from the 5th starting position. That put us on the pole for feature because our pill draw was better than Rex's. On the initial start, we had'em covered..gonna run away with it...but not everyone made it through the 1st and 2nd turns so we had a complete restart. I totally blew the restart, but came out in 2nd. We had another long caution which allowed my tires to really cool down causing the kart to push early...and let Rex build up a lead. So we ended up 2nd then. I'd like to thank Seth and Stan Schneider for helping us out last night. Just the little stuff they did helped immensely in the long run. Sunday we return to the extremely fast 1/4 mile in Toledo for the first PKA points race. If anyone wants to stop in and help out your more than welcome to! I think pit passes are somewhere around \$8
