To make a long story short, we ended up not going racing. Mostly due to soreness in
my dad's back, but we did find some issues with the midget that needed to be addressed as well. The
safety harnesses needed adjusted, the car was out of align, and water-pump needed some work too. All
these things would have made for huge headaches at the track. Not to mention, the heat races were
rained-out, so they just ran the features. If you would like to read the write-up about the action,
there is an article on www.wingedmidgets.com. As for us, all has been corrected on the midget, and the
sprint-car is nearing completion. Most he body-panels are back from paint, and the chassis is set to
be powder-coated this week-end. I haven't heard anything from the engine builder yet though. It looks
like we just might be ready for the June 13th show in Toledo. If we're really lucky, there is a show
at Lorain County on June 7th, but we're not planning on being there.
