Saturday we tried some changes to the car for another weekly show at Sandusky Speedway. The car started off feeling better since I could drive a little deeper into the corner. But, the more comfortable I got, the more it felt like the right-front would not grip in the center of the turn. The adjustments we made throughout the night did help since our fastest time in the Feature was about a second faster than our times earlier in the night. We started 6th in the Heat race which is where we ended up after quite a few re-starts early on. For me, I ended up entering too low into 3 and looped it. It seemed no one was able to keep a handle on their cars, but we were all able to settle down put in 10 solid laps. We started 13th in the Feature. It became quite difficult to see since a car about mid-pack was having a head-gasket starting to fail, so there was quite a bit of smoke. The pack stayed together most of the race. With about 4 laps to go, I didn't adjust enough rear brake out of the car, so I ended up spinning entering 3 again. The last 4 laps the whole field was nose to tail though, and we ended up 13th. I have to thank my dad, Uncle Jim, and wife Lindsey for coming out for the night. We couldn't have made it through without your help!
