Everything finally came together to be able to race at the Hy-Miler Nationals this year. The track was very slick during practice and qualifying, and we ended up clocking in 19th out of 21 cars.
For the heat, we were able to bring home the win! After leading the first couple laps, I got bumped going into the 1st turn. The other guy was charged with the caution and had to go to the tail, and I got my spot back.
I was able to get a great restart and get our first modified win, first win at Sandusky, and our first win in a long time! The Feature was 30 laps of pretty clean racing. I did get spun in the middle of 3 and 4 about half-way through, but
after that, settled into a rhythm and came home 13th, ready to race on Saturday.
