Saturday at the Hy-Miler Nationals was about the same as Friday, except for the ending. We struggled to get the car tuned for the track conditions with different rubber compounds on the track. Once again, we were able to get the heat win with no cautions this time! It felt good to get two heat wins in two nights! During the Feature, the car was handling pretty well. I started to noticed it wanted to turn right after I stepped of the throttle going into turn 3 though. It was only a matter of laps later that something let loose, and I was out of control heading into the turn 3 wall. It ends up, the left-rear trailing arm bracket ripped right out of the chassis tubing causing the rear-end to turn all over the place. Needless to say, the car is pretty tore up. I'm fine because all my safety equipment did its job, but I'm not sure if we're going to get anything back together to get out again this year. I will keep everyone posted though! I have to thank my wife, Lindsey, my dad, and Ryan Schimmoeller for all the help they provided this week-end! Wouldn't have been able to get any of it done without you!!
